Founder · Acupuncturist

Neda Saleh, L.Ac., FABORM

Fertility · Women’s Health · Stress · Hypothyroidism

Neda founded Evoke in 2014 with a passion for bringing Eastern and Western medicine together. Her background in public health, Chinese medicine, yoga, and meditation shapes her approach to care. She especially enjoys supporting patients through fertility, pregnancy, and the changes that come with growing a family.

Full Bio

California Licensed Acupuncturist, Fellow of The Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (FABORM), Nationally Certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, Certified Yoga Instructor, creator of Evoke Fertility Meditations App, and founder of Evoke Acupuncture.

Neda is passionate about integrating Eastern and Western Medicine. She analyzes every condition to uncover the root cause of disease and finds the most applicable solutions. Her specialties include:

  • Fertility
  • Women’s Health
  • Stress Management
  • Hypothyroidism

Neda’s interest in medicine began at a young age. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Public Health from UC Berkeley. With a vision of attending medical school, she gained experience while working as a medical assistant and clinic coordinator at Mar Monte Community Clinic in San Jose. There she discovered areas in which western medical practices were unable to provide long-lasting solutions for patients. This led her to pursue further education in traditional healing methods.

Four years later, Neda graduated from Five Branches University with a Master in Traditional Chinese Medicine. While in school, she traveled to China for additional training in Internal Medicine at Zhejiang University. She also completed her Yoga Teacher Training and taught yoga, meditation, and qi gong classes that emphasized balancing the mind, body, and spirit.

In 2014, Neda started her private practice, Evoke Acupuncture. Neda loves supporting women and men in achieving optimal health and producing beautiful babies. It is her greatest joy to help patients conceive and provide care as a new life develops.

Neda is also trained as a Crisis Talkline Counselor. She excels at comforting, supporting, and giving strength to patients during challenging times.

A few words from Neda’s patients:

“I started seeing Neda after I suffered a miscarriage. During this very difficult time Neda has always been in my corner, always listening, and giving advise, and providing excellent care. She always explains her approach with every treatment, and takes very detailed notes on what is currently going on with me. Dealing with medical issues is draining and emotionally challenging, but it always helps to have an advocate in your corner. Her knowledge and care has helped me tremendously, and with every treatment I feel better, more relaxed and centered.”
Roxanne F.
“How amazing are these ladies! Words cannot even explain how I feel about them! Going through infertility is not an easy thing, and it definitely takes a toll on you emotionally and physically. Neda is the most amazing infertility acupuncturist! She is so knowledgable! I could sit there and talk to her openly, and her amazing heart listens and care about me and what I am going through. They make you feel like you are their only patient, my time there is never rushed!”
Victoria Y.
“I was undergoing unknown fertility issues for about 1.5 years and 2 months of Acupuncture and a little help from western medicine is all that I needed to get pregnant! I met Neda and was very impressed by her holistic approach and started following her recommendations. I had weekly sessions that felt like trips to heaven. And she helped with my chronic upper back pain as well! She is dedicated to her art and does not treat it as a business (I have been to other acupuncture places where I felt nothing but needle pricks). Very knowledgable and a true professional.”

Known for her warm, attentive, and gentle approach, Shuqing creates personalized treatment plans that support both immediate needs and long-term wellness. She combines her clinical expertise with genuine compassion to provide thoughtful care tailored to each patient.

Areas of Specialization

  • Acute & Chronic Pain Management — Managing musculoskeletal pain, headaches and migraines, nerve pain, and menstrual pain.
  • Fertility & Reproductive Health for Women and Men — Supporting natural conception, IVF and IUI, pregnancy wellness, and postpartum care.
  • Stress, Anxiety & Emotional Well-Being — Managing stress and anxiety, promoting relaxation, and supporting emotional balance.

A Personal Path to Chinese Medicine

Shuqing’s journey into Chinese Medicine began when her daughter struggled with severe allergies. After months of conventional medical treatment with limited improvement, their pediatrician recommended exploring alternative therapies. Within six weeks of receiving acupuncture and herbal medicine, her daughter experienced significant relief. Witnessing these results inspired Shuqing to pursue the study of Chinese Medicine and dedicate her career to helping others improve their health and quality of life.

In 2014, Shuqing earned her Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University. She continued her learning with three acupuncture master teachers, specializing in pain management and chronic health conditions. Passionate about reproductive health, Shuqing completed Laura Erlich’s Integrative Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Mentorship Program, gaining an in-depth understanding of both Eastern and Western approaches to fertility care. Shuqing further expanded her clinical perspective by shadowing reproductive endocrinologists (REIs) in IVF clinics. This advanced training and clinical experience allow Shuqing to thoughtfully align her acupuncture care with established IVF protocols and treatment timelines, providing patients with personalized support that complements their medical treatment.

A Unique Professional Perspective

Before becoming an acupuncturist, Shuqing earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and spent ten years in Silicon Valley’s high-tech industry. Having experienced the demands of a fast-paced professional environment firsthand, she understands how work, stress, and busy lifestyles can affect overall well-being. This perspective allows her to connect with patients and bring a thoughtful, practical approach to their care.

Whether supporting individuals and couples through their fertility journey, helping patients manage acute and chronic pain, or addressing stress and anxiety, Shuqing provides thoughtful care focused on each patient’s unique needs, underlying imbalances, and the body’s natural healing processes.

Outside the clinic, Shuqing enjoys spending time with her family and dog, hiking, exploring national parks, and reading medical nonfiction.

A few words from Shuqing’s patients:

“I have been seeing Shuqing at Evoke Acupuncture for a few months now, and can't gatekeep this. I myself have a (western) medical background, so I appreciate the extent of knowledge and expertise in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) she brings through acupuncture and other modalities for the treatment of women's reproductive health and particularly around fertility. However, Shuqing also has a deep understanding of the IVF process and works collaboratively with my REI physician and treatment schedule to prepare my body for success. She has been a true partner with me to navigate this process. She is gentle (no pain with the needles), an attentive listener, and extremely caring when my anxiety is high (which is always).

I've tried several acupuncture clinics and all were good, but this stands out as the place to go to be best supported in your fertility journey.”
Sonia N.
“I’ve been having trouble with my own health issues–long cycles, don’t know when I’m ovulating, having trouble conceiving, not sure if I’m fertile–to the point where I had an appt already scheduled for the infertility clinic. I didn’t know what to do until one of my coworkers suggested acupuncture. I researched and I am so thankful I found Evoke Acupuncture and had the chance to work (and still currently working) with Shuqing. From the very first meeting with her, I already felt so much warmth. Shuqing is very knowledgeable and discusses what points will be pinned to help with my fertility. I always leave feeling so at ease and well taken care of in her care. I’ve been seeing her for only 2 months and I am over the moon, happy to say that my husband and I are pregnant with our first baby!”
Anna Q.
“I seldom write reviews, though the results that Shuqing produced were 100% effective and almost immediate. After a brief consultation, she started the treatment, and after that was complete, I noticed my sharp pain relieved in about 30 minutes. Then total pain relief within 4 hours.”

Acupuncturist

Kristy Callon, L.Ac., DAcHM

Fertility · Women’s Health · Stress · Facial Rejuvenation

Kristy’s interest in yoga and holistic health led her to Chinese medicine and its attention to the whole person. She brings empathy and individualized care to her work, drawing on traditional healing practices and modern research. Supporting fertility and women’s reproductive health is a particular passion.

Full Bio

Dr. Kristy Callon is a California Licensed Acupuncturist, Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, and Nationally Certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. She holds a Doctorate from Five Branches University and a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Medicine from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Her path into Chinese Medicine began with a deep curiosity about yoga, spirituality, and holistic health. After developing health issues of her own and finding that she was only offered temporary solutions, she began searching for deeper answers and a more root-cause approach to healing. This search ultimately led her to Traditional Chinese Medicine, an approach that deeply resonated with her through its recognition of the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. She was drawn to the way Chinese Medicine views each person as a whole being rather than a collection of symptoms. She has developed specialities in the following areas:

  • Male + Female Fertility
  • Women’s Health
  • Stress Management
  • Chronic Conditions
  • Facial Rejuvenation

While attending Chinese medicine school, Dr. Kristy had the privilege of attending two home births, experiences that ignited her passion for fertility and women’s reproductive health. Witnessing the transformative power of birth inspired her to specialize in helping women balance their hormones, restore healthy menstrual cycles, cultivate a deeper connection with their bodies, and ultimately support them in bringing life into the world.

In treatment, Dr. Kristy offers compassionate, individualized care grounded in empathy and presence. She weaves the wisdom of ancient healing traditions, including Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, alongside modern scientific research to create treatments that are both holistic and evidence-informed. She is committed to creating a safe and supportive space where patients feel deeply heard, empowered, and connected to their body’s innate capacity to heal.

A few words from Kristy’s patients:

“Within minutes of being under Dr. Kristy’s care, you will experience her warm heart and gentle touch. She genuinely cares about her patients and will ask & answer a lot of question to get a clearer picture of how to treat you. She’ll also make sure you’re as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Dr. Kristy takes her time and it feels more like a special ceremony between patient and practitioner. I’ve been getting better and better results, and highly recommend her!”
E.W.
“I don’t even know where to begin describing how grateful I am for Dr. Kristy. From my very first session, I could feel how much she truly cares. It’s rare to meet someone who not only has such incredible skill, but also such a kind and nurturing heart. I came in for acupuncture, but I received much more than that. Their warmth, compassion, and genuine dedication to my well being have made such a difference in my life.”
N.F.
“I have been working with Dr. Kristy for the last several months and my experience has been extremely positive. Dr Kristy takes a deep interest in my wellness and daily life as it relates to my treatment plan. I appreciate the time she takes to listen to me as I unpack my troubles, always giving a kind word of support as well as learning in order to best tailor my sessions. I’m so grateful to have found Dr. Kristy after working to find a new practitioner that focuses on fertility and women’s health.

She is a great choice for acupuncture and herbs!”

Acupuncturist

Taylar Willigrod, L.Ac., DAcHM

Orthopedics · Pelvic Floor Health · Fertility · Stress · Facial Rejuvenation

Taylar’s own experience of feeling heard and supported by an acupuncturist inspired her path into Chinese medicine. She brings that same attentive approach to her patients, combining Eastern and Western perspectives. Away from the clinic, she enjoys surfing, gardening, and exploring trails with her dog.

Full Bio

Dr. Taylar Willigrod is a California Licensed Acupuncturist, Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, and Nationally Certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. She earned her Doctorate from Five Branches University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Physiology, along with a certificate in Holistic Health from San Francisco State University.

Dr. Willigrod is passionate about integrating Eastern and Western medicine, drawing from the strengths of both approaches to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. She also had the privilege of studying at the National Hospital of Traditional Medicine in Vietnam, where she gained a broader understanding of acupuncture practices and their integration within healthcare systems around the world.

Dr. Willigrod’s specialties include:

  • Orthopedic and Sports Medicine
  • Pelvic Floor Care
  • Male and Female Fertility
  • Women’s Health
  • General Health and Stress Management
  • Facial Rejuvenation

Her path to Traditional Chinese Medicine began through a health journey of her own. While completing her undergraduate studies, she was navigating her own health journey and often felt disheartened, lonely, and uncertain as she searched for answers. During her final year at San Francisco State University, she was introduced to acupuncture while organizing a holistic health event for students during finals week. Through her own healing journey, she developed a therapeutic relationship with an acupuncturist who helped her feel truly seen, heard, and validated. That experience revealed the profound impact of compassionate care and inspired her to pursue a career in Chinese medicine.

Today, Dr. Willigrod strives to create that same experience for her patients. She takes the time to listen deeply to each person’s unique story and develops individualized treatment plans that address both immediate concerns and underlying patterns of imbalance. She is dedicated to fostering a warm, nurturing environment where patients feel supported, empowered, and understood throughout their healing journey.

With empathy and compassion, Dr. Willigrod serves as a witness, mirror, and guide in her patients’ healing journeys. Her goal is to help patients cultivate peace, resilience, and harmony within the circumstances of their lives. By blending the wisdom of Eastern medicine with modern Western understanding, she supports patients in reconnecting with their body’s innate capacity for healing and wellbeing.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Willigrod feels most at home in nature. She enjoys surfing, hiking and trail running with her dog, tending her garden, playing soccer, reading, and sewing and knitting. These practices help her stay grounded, connected, and active, and continually remind her of the importance of health as a foundation for living a full and meaningful life. She believes that health is not simply the absence of disease, but a form of freedom that allows us to connect more deeply with ourselves, our communities, and the activities that bring us joy.

A few words from Taylar’s patients:

“Dr. Willigrod really knows her stuff! She is a highly talented and caring practitioner who always meets her patients where they are. After initially seeing her for back pain, she has become my go-to person for any imbalances that I am feeling in my body. From headaches and sleep issues to muscle pain and injury recovery, she uses her extensive knowledge of anatomy paired with a deep understanding of traditional acupuncture to treat intentionally with compassion and care.

On top of her knowledge and expertise, she creates a very inviting and calming atmosphere that has allowed me to relax and drop into my treatments with ease. I could not recommend Dr. Willigrod more as a practitioner!”
M.S.
“I went to Taylar for hip and glute pain (leftover from an old injury and pregnancy). In my first treatment I felt relief from the pain and tightness and every subsequent treatment has helped it stay away for longer durations. I feel like Taylar has x-Ray vision and can see how an injury is affecting my entire body- she knows exactly where to place needles.”
B.L.
“Originally, I came to see Dr. Willigrod for back pain and was totally skeptical/nervous about acupuncture. The very first visit she was so gentle, warm and informative. I kept coming back as I felt so relaxed after the first visit and started experiencing great relief in my back pain.

Then, I started to notice that my menstrual cycle started becoming less painful and more regular! I used to spot for almost a week before actually starting my period with heavy awful cramps and now I no longer spot and the cramps are way more manageable. Acupuncture has become a staple in my self care routine! Dr. Willigrod has such a calming presence and therapeutic touch. She is very knowledgeable and I feel like she knows how to treat whatever I come in with that day.”
